The moment you tap the correct number on the keypad,6 there is a loud click and the steel door creaks inwards to reveal the shelved walls of a strongroom beyond. You smile with satisfaction at having cracked the university’s door code: the number of the last column of each row is the sum of the number of the first two columns, minus the number in the third column.
Intrigued by what lies within, you enter the strongroom and peer along the dusty shelves. The vault contains the documentation of experiments and quantities of what were once considered precious metals—gold, platinum, silver, and titanium. After a thorough search, you find three items that may be put to practical use:
- Geiger Counter
- Altimeter
- Radiation Suit (occupies two item spaces in the Backpack)
