You tug your Kai Weapon from its scabbard and the approaching guardsmen skid to a halt when they see you crouching in readiness to meet their advance. The bridge guards press themselves to the parapet, beyond the reach of your weapon, and the one who rang the bell screams at you: ‘Are you mad? Put down your weapon and surrender, or you’ll regret it when we tell Guard Captain Maukar that you resisted arrest.’

If you wish to do as the bridge guard says, you can sheathe your Kai Weapon and surrender by turning to 229.

Or you can attempt to evade the guards by dashing across the drawbridge towards the archway of the inner keep. Turn to 134.
